Market-rate Housing Idea

heres an idea for our building

the building was built in the year 2000 and was designed for relatively cheap housing of the lower class society. In recent years, there has been an increase in rent so those who moved in previously were forced to pay more rent or move. However they being lower class could not afford the increase in rent and could not find another place of refuge, so they decided to stay where they were. As time went on, higher class society moved in but did not like the street setting of homeless bums crowded around bonfires etc so they eventually moved out. The area became very run down due to lack of maintenance and there eventually became no tenants left in the apartments. The building became abandoned and overrun with homeless peoples.

Some idea's I was thinking of were eviction notices plastered around the building. A nice big sign warning people to evacuate the premise as the building is to be demolished. Wrecking ball and construction lighting beyond the fence. Grafiti like "We aren't leaving", "we were here first", etc
. A sound of someone speaking via speakerphone thing saying "please evacuate the building, this building will be demolished in 30mins (or whatever)"

Guys, guys, guys, guys...

It's a bit un-pc. I'd seriously re-spin it, and avoid terms like 'lower class' and 'bums' and concentrate on concepts of gentrification and oppression. Make the landlord the bad-guy and the poor helpless under-privileged people the 'heroes'. Keep and eye on my blog
